I this is my last day in Tibet. It is day full of mixed emotions, I am sad to go but I am also very excited to share all the information I have collected with other American researchers. I am hoping to go on one more hike today before my helicopter comes to pick me up at 4:00 p.m.
At 3 p.m. I went to the dense under growth spot that my group had found the day before. Along the trail we saw fresh tracks from about 10 hours ago, which gave me hope that I would see one more Snow Leopard before I headed back to the States. It took us about 45 minutes to cut through about 40 feet of undergrowth! We followed the game trail for about another hour before he had to head back so I could catch my flight.
I never did see another Snow Leopard on that trip. But I hope that next year I can go back in hope to see more Snow Leopards.
